Our Services
Will Drafting UK's Will services are supplied by Westcountry Estate Planning (company number 11438410).
Our basic Single Will, Mirror Will and Lasting Power of Attorney service include a telephone consultation to capture all relevant information and a professionally written master copy of your Will/Lasting Power of Attorney documents. Any additional types of Will or Lasting Power of Attorney fall outside of this service and may incur further fees.
By agreeing to having your Will written/Lasting Power of Attorney documents drafted by Will Drafting UK, you (the client) assume full responsibility for the validity of any information provided during the telephone consultation (or any subsequent information provided verbally, electronically or in writing) for the purposes of us writing your Will or drafting your Lasting Power of Attorney documents. Will Drafting UK will always supply a draft copy of your documents for you to thoroughly check and ratify the content.
You (the client) take full responsibility for checking the content of the draft document(s) and any supporting documentation including the Will Commentary and Inheritance Act Declarations and/or Memorandum of Wishes (if applicable). You (the client) are responsible for communicating with us (the company) within six months of receipt of such draft copies of documents. Failure to do this will result in administration fees for reinstatement.
Once we have provided you with a printed master copy of your Will and/or Lasting Power of Attorney documents, you (the client) assume full responsibility for the signing and storage of this document. Will Drafting UK will always provided a printed comprehensive signing guide and advice on storing your documents safely.
Updates & Law Changes (Will Writing service only)
Will Drafting UK will offer you (the client) an option to include updates to your Will for an annual fee. This will also include updates for any changes in the law. If you do not choose this option, any future updates to your Will would be charged at the price for a new Will at that time.
If you (the client) do not choose this option, once we have sent the master copy of your Will to you in the post, any future updates to your Will are charged at the current price of the Will writing service.
Where free updates apply, an administration fee of (current set at £49) will apply to cover all postage fees.
Lasting Power of Attorney
Will Drafting UK offer a Lasting Power of Attorney drafting service only. This means that we can produce all documentation relating to Lasting Power of Attorney applications for both Property & Financial and Health & Welfare. These documents will be ready to be signed, witnessed and then submitted to the Office of the Public Guardian for registration in accordance with their guidelines. We will provide instructions for this. As this is a drafting service only, we do not act as certificate providers or have any involvement in the signing and witnessing of these documents. You will be required to provide us with the details during your telephone consultation.
Will Drafting UK assume no responsibility for the identity or mental capacity of anybody named within your Lasting Power of Attorney.
Storage
Will Drafting UK can offer a storage service for an additional fee. If you choose to store the Will yourself, Will Drafting UK assume no responsibility for the care of this document and will not be held responsible for any losses arising. In the event of you (the client) not choosing a storage option, but losing the Will, Will Drafting UK may be able to provide you with an unsigned copy of this Will however this will incur an additional fee. As per the original, this will require signing and witnessing (see above) for it to become legally binding.
